West Trenton, New Jersey - March 2007 - Tandem Labs, a leading bioanalytical contract research organization (CRO), has named Hirohide Mimura as Client Manager for Japan and as a Bioanalytical Project Manager of its Bioanalytical Division at the New Jersey facility.
"Mr. Mimura comes to Tandem Labs with over 20 years of extensive laboratory management and research experience," says Jean Pineault, General Manager. "We're excited for the immediate contributions he will make at Tandem Labs. His appointment also illustrates our commitment to the emerging Japanese drug development market."
Mr. Mimura obtained his B. Pharm and M.S. degrees from Tokyo College of Pharmacy. He also completed a fellowship at the Jewish Hospital of Washington University, St. Louis, MO.
Prior to joining Tandem Labs, Mr. Mimura served in several management and development research capacities, including but not limited to, Research Scientist of Pharmacological Research Laboratories and Discovery, Manager of Pharmaceutical Planning, and Manager of Pharmaceutical Development for Teijin Ltd., Tokyo, Japan. He was also a Product Development Manager for VPS Corporation, amongst others.

West Trenton, New Jersey - March 2007 - Tandem Labs has named Tom Falzareno as Business Development Manager for Tandem's Eastern region, specifically representing Massachusetts, which houses our newest facility, Tandem Labs-New England.

Most recently, Mr. Falzareno cultivated the current pipeline and spearheaded the development of new prospects and applications in an already mature market for Biacore, Inc. Mr. Falzareno also earned his B.S. degree in Life Sciences from Cornell University, New York.
Salt Lake City, UT and West Trenton, New Jersey - July 19, 2006 - Tandem Labs, a leading bioanalytical contract research organization (CRO), has named Joanne R. Ramundo, M.S., as its new Quality Assurance Director, effective August 1, 2006.
"Ms. Ramundo has 25 years of quality assurance experience in GLP and GCP environments," says Denis Lin, President and CEO. "She also has an extensive background in facility inspections and vendor audits. She will be a valuable addition to Tandem Labs."
Since 2005, Ms. Ramundo has been the quality assurance director of U.S. clinical trials for LabCorp, encompassing both preclinical and Phase I-IV studies. Prior to LabCorp, Ms. Ramundo was a manager for Johnson & Johnson in compliance and resource management and a regulatory compliance manager for GlaxoSmithKline, among others.
Ms. Ramundo earned her Master of Science in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She is also an active member of the Society of Quality Assurance.
West Trenton, New Jersey - July 19, 2006 - Tandem Labs, a leading bioanalytical contract research organization (CRO), named Laura Cojocaru as Laboratory Director of its Bioanalytical Division at the New Jersey facility.
"Ms. Cojocaru brings more than 25-years of laboratory management experience to Tandem Labs," says Jean Pineault, General Manager. "We are pleased to have her as a team member and welcome her expertise in our Bioanalytical Division at our New Jersey facility."
Since 1996, Ms. Cojocaru served as the director of the bioanalytical department for Huntingdon Life Sciences. Previously, she was a senior manager in the bioanalytical department at Phoenix International Life Sciences in Montreal, Canada and a laboratory supervisor at Anachemia Canada, Inc., among others.
Ms. Cojocaru also possesses several inventor certificates for a number of procedures including one for obtaining L-Cysteine HCL and one for the extraction and purification of a hyaluronidase inhibitor of animal origin.
West Trenton, New Jersey - July 19, 2006 - Tandem Labs, a leading bioanalytical contract research organization (CRO), named Renuka C. Pillutla, Ph.D., as a Group Leader in its Biomarker and Immunoanalytical Division.
"Dr. Pillutla comes to Tandem Labs with an extensive background in the drug discovery and biopharmaceutical arenas. Her expertise encompasses several areas ranging from target identification and target validation to assay development," says Ira DuBey, General Manager. "She is also extremely familiar with ligand-binding studies and epitope mapping."
Dr. Pillutla joins Tandem Labs with more than ten years of senior research experience in laboratory-based settings. Since 2003, she has been a senior research scientist in the Biological Methods Development Group for Global Biologics Supply Chain, LLC, a corporate division of Centocor and Johnson & Johnson. Prior to this position, Dr. Pillutla was a senior scientist in the Department of Molecular Biology for DGI Biotechnologies, Inc. in Edison, NJ.
Dr. Pillutla earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
West Trenton, New Jersey - July 19, 2006 - Tandem Labs, a leading bioanalytical contract research organization (CRO), named Xiguang (Lisa) Li, M.D., as a Research Scientist in its Biomarker and Immunoanalytical Division.
"Dr. Li brings a remarkable background in the development, validation, and sample analysis of assays using ELISA and other advanced technologies to Tandem Labs," says Ira DuBey, General Manager. "She also has extensive experience in conducting flow cytometry experiments on cell lines as well as in immunogenicity and pharmacokinetics."
Dr. Li adds 30 years of experience to Tandem Labs' Biomarker and Immunoanalytical Division, ten of which occurred in clinical practice and 20 of which occurred in pharmaceutical research. Prior to Tandem Labs, Dr. Li was a research associate for Enzon Pharmaceuticals, Immunomedics, Johnson & Johnson, and Merck and Co., among others.
Dr. Li earned her M.D. in Clinical Medicine from the Third Military Medical University of China in Chong Qing, P.R. China.
